1. Overview

These SMS Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) govern your participation in the text-messaging program operated by Lucky Dog Insurance LLC (“Lucky Dog,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from Lucky Dog Insurance, you agree to these SMS Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these SMS Terms, do not opt in to our text-messaging program.

2. Program Description

Lucky Dog Insurance operates an SMS/MMS messaging program intended to support our clients and prospective clients in the ordinary course of our insurance brokerage business.

2.1 Types of Messages

Once you have opted in, you may receive the following categories of messages from Lucky Dog Insurance:

  • Quote follow-ups and other new-business communications
  • Policy servicing messages, including renewal reminders, endorsement requests, certificate-of-insurance requests, and document requests
  • Claims-related communications
  • Appointment and meeting reminders

We do not send marketing or promotional text blasts as part of this program, and we do not use SMS for two-factor authentication or account security codes.

2.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your relationship with us and the status of your account, quote, claim, or scheduled appointment. There is no fixed cadence.

3. Opt-In

You opt in to the Lucky Dog Insurance text-messaging program by providing verbal consent during a telephone call with a Lucky Dog Insurance representative. At the time of opt-in:

  • We will confirm the mobile number to be enrolled
  • We will describe the types of messages you may receive
  • We will document your consent in our records
  • By providing verbal consent, you represent that:
  • You are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number provided
  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You consent to receive text messages from Lucky Dog Insurance at the mobile number you provided

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Lucky Dog Insurance does not charge you for the messages we send or receive, but your wireless carrier’s standard message and data rates apply based on your mobile plan. Check with your carrier for details.

5. HELP

For help at any time, reply HELP to any text message from Lucky Dog Insurance. You will receive a response with contact information. You may also contact us directly:

6. Opt-Out (STOP)

You may opt out of the Lucky Dog Insurance text-messaging program at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you reply STOP:

  • We will send you one final confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out
  • You will not receive further text messages from Lucky Dog Insurance unless you opt back in
  • You can re-enroll at any time by contacting a Lucky Dog Insurance representative and providing verbal consent again

You may also opt out by emailing info@luckydogins.com with the subject line “STOP SMS” and the mobile number to be removed.

Note: Opting out of text messages does not opt you out of other forms of communication you may have requested or that we are required to provide (such as email, phone calls, or written notices related to your insurance policies).

7. Supported Carriers

The Lucky Dog Insurance text-messaging program is supported on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and Cricket. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by factors outside our control, including network conditions, your device, and your wireless plan.

8. Privacy

Your information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared with subcontractors and service providers that support the operation of our text-messaging program (such as our communications platform vendor) solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive.

9. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on luckydogins.com. Your continued participation in the text-messaging program after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
